Check it out! :)

Check out the new page I listed “Items You THINK you NEED but DON’T.”  :) I’ll add more as I come across them!

Facebook Group

Hey guys so I have a Facebook group where I’m trying to connect moms and dads in college. Its Parents in College. Look it up and request to join! I have it that way so we can share details and not everyone will be able to read them! We don’t have many members because I’ve only started it with people around my school! I’d love to reach more!

Tiny Blue Lines

Hey guys so I found a book called Tiny Blue Lines, and I think all moms, in school or out of school need to read it. It’s a wonderful book. I’m still continuing to read it, but I think you need it. You Don't Need the Baby Bullet

I will eventually put all these into one post but if I don’t post about them when I think of them “mom brain” kicks in and I’ll forget.

Listen new moms- you don’t need the Baby Bullet. If you have your own blender it works perfectly. I have a blender similar to the Baby Bullet that I got at JCPenney for half the price. It’s an adult blender that came with the different size containers to add to it. If you feel like making your own baby food, just get one of those. Do not go spend money on something just because it has Baby written on it. I’m not saying this isn’t a great product but to save you the extra bucks, you’ll be fine without it.

What You Didn't Know About College Moms

Want to check out the picture and the blog? Click here!

I wish I could have done online schooling, but with the teaching degree, that wasn't an option.

Read This Article

I have never read a more truthful article in my life.

New parents or friends of new parents take note please!!

"6 Things New Parents Need to Stop Doing Before They Lose Their Minds"
It's so perfect!
If you are a mother, or if you love kids, you need to go get this book. “Sorry I Peed On You” by Jeremy Greenberg. This is a book filled with cute letters to Mommy.

Here’s a sneak peak:
"Dear Mommy,
You don’t seem very happy that I tossed my food against the wall. But please see it not as a wanton act of toddler vandalism. Rather, it is an act of creative expression.
When you’re my age, you don’t have too many ways to tell the world who you are. I can cry, use the three words I know, or throw food. I call this particular fresco Marinara on a Voyage through Space and Time. Many things inspire toddler-food art. I derived my inspiration for this piece from finding a chunk of green bell pepper in the sauce.
One of the things art is supposed to do is create an emotional response in the viewer. Judging by your response, I’d say my creation was a success! Though not all people respond the same. For some reason, my masterpiece made Daddy thirsty, because he stood up and said he needed a drink.
Love,
Miles"

This is one of the many cute stories written about what children may say to their parents. Miles was 16 months old. Almost as old as my little one!
You can buy it here on Amazon!

Happy New Year- And do I “need” this?

Yup, I’m that mom who stayed home with my family and celebrated the New Year in my bed. No shame in that. I don’t need to go out and drink, heck, I’m not even 21 yet. My fiance and I stayed at home, our son was in bed at 7:00PM, so we had the whole night to ourselves. I really don’t have the energy to stay awake to midnight anymore. I made it though, and then at about 12:30AM I crashed. Things become a lot different when you have a baby. I’m exhausted all the time. But you just do what you have to do to make it through the day. I’ve been looking for ideas to do with a 14 month old. I want him to explore things, but what is there to do in the winter with a 14 month old? If you have any ideas, pleaseeeee comment below.
I was thinking today about how so many people buy kids toys. My son literally plays with about two toys all day long. He has so many. I was thinking of writing a blog of things parents think they need, but they really don’t. The media plays such a huge part in what we “need” when having our first baby. But we don’t really “need” it. I saw this thing in Once Upon A Child and Munchkin had this Shower & Rinse Bath Pitcher. I don’t really know why they make parents think they need this toy, but seriously, what ever happened to just using a cup? That’s what I use. Does the same thing. It just baffles me. Please do not fall into all the tricks and ads that these baby manufacturers make you think you need.
I think I’ll make a blog about what not to buy because you don’t need it. Let me gather all the things I’ve found! Happy New Year!!
